"What has been the most painful thing you’ve experience in your high school years?"
"My parents separated last year; it affected me academically, and brought me into this funk. If I could go back I’d probably tell myself that everything happens for a reason, and to not let it affect me."

  2. Yes! I understand how you feel because I have divorced parents too, and it can be a struggle at times! It's upsetting how we just have to get used to it .

  3. Its an unforeseen struggle, but its worst they split up at first time your able to speak your first word! When one parent teaches you things that conflict with the what the other says, it becomes a mental battle. Some people get lost in between, while others choose a side. Either way consider you self luck that it happened more recently than when you were younger, as it's less damaging and requires less time to heal.

  4. Worry about your own life. I know that sounds too direct but don't let something affect your happiness. My parents have been arguing for the last 18 years and I learned to not give a crap. Is that bad? I don't know; but what I'm trying to say is you're about to be a grown up soon. So just worry about bettering yourself before it's too late.

  5. Everything always happens for a reason. Whether it's heartbreaks, a family loss, or something else, just believe it's always for the better outcome. Have faith in everything and keep moving forward. Nothing lasts forever, the pain will be eased throughout time and everything will be fine.

  6. This response is heartbreaking but inspirational; oftentimes personal struggle interferes with activities in daily life. One must realize, however, that such hardships prepare an individual for the road ahead. The strongest individuals are those who have faced adversity and conquered it.

Life goes by so fast that the important part is that we do things that make us feel alive and satisfied with life. We can't change the past, but we can live today to the fullest.

  8. Things come up in life that we have no control over and sometimes we feel as if we are to blame for certain things. However, everything happens for a reason. And though it may hurt when it happens, sometimes you look back and know that that bad thing that happened was for the better.

  10. Not a lot of us can relate to your experiences, but we all can relate to something that made us suffer academically.

  11. The most painful thing I have gone through in my high school years, was seeing my mom cry when my grandpa passed away. I just wanted to be with her, because she couldn't go see him. We could just comfort her.

  12. The most painful thing I have been through was also probably when my parents seperated. I also went down in grades, but I learned that every thing happens for a reason. I now understand why everything happened the way it did and I'm okay with it all.
