What advice would you give to your younger self?
The advice I would tell my younger self would be to enjoy life. Growing up I was always looking forward to the future and always wanted to grow up and move out and do my own thing. I never really stopped and smelled the roses, I had always brushed by them and just kept on going with one thing on my mind which was being independent. Growing up I was always independent, so when it came to me being a teenager I always wanted to be gone, and when in reality I should’ve lived in the moment and been happy and enjoyed where I was at. Now I am a senior and I am stressed 24/7 about colleges and I had realized that I am not ready to be an adult and I just want to be a little kid again and watch cartoons and not have a care in the world. Yet life is moving on and it is not stopping, but in small days where I have no worries, I take great pleasure in them and I do not take it for granted. Take your time, and don’t rush.
Great advice I think you'll be fine you got this. I really liked how you realized this and knew what you would tell yourself. You still have a long life ahead of you so you can still live in the moment.
ReplyDeleteAw that is so sweet! wonderful advice
ReplyDeleteThis is so true! Many times all we want is to grow up while we should really be enjoying our childhood. Great advice!
ReplyDeleteI'm 100% with this. I can relate so much to this because I always wanted to be 18 and leave the house and just be on my own. But since we keep looking in the future we don't realize what's right in front of us, great advice!
ReplyDeleteI agree with what she says because I can relate to it. I always hold myself back because I'm too insecure and afraid of how others will perceive me and it prevents me from showing who I truly am. I am taking her advice piece by piece, and it has helped me grow as a person.
ReplyDeleteI like your answer and your reflection of who you have become. I agree with you but personally, I do not regret or wish to have changed anything that happened to me because my experiences have made me who I am today. I think you should look at it that way too. Yes, reflect and become better but also appreciate what that strive of independence has turned you into today.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you!. I understand this and this is so relatable. I know that sometimes we may not always be in the best mind set but we grow out of it and we do what we want. I love seeing you as a more incontrol powerful young lady. #props

ReplyDeleteI agree with you that allowing yourself to have new experiences and enjoy life makes things more fun. I my self and more kept to myself and won't volunteer for things if I don't have to. I would also give my younger self that same advice to be more open to other activities and to learn to enjoy life more.
ReplyDeleteThis can't be anymore true. I always used to think that rushing through everything would help me be more productive. But after a while I realized that taking my time is the only way I can be happy with myself.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely. Nowadays, we spend so much time on social media and technology that we never take the time to appreciate the little things in life. This doesn't apply to my younger self exactly, but it does sort of apply to me today in terms of gaming.
