Do you judge a book by its cover?
I try not to. I believe you should get to know a person instead of criticizing right off the bat. If you tend to judge someone by the cover, it just means you are insecure about yourself. If you live your whole life judging people, you will never create real friendships. You will be known as a critical person. If you judge someone on their features, you will come to realize
that not everyone’s features match their personalities.
I also believe you should get to know a person first before judging. Just sometimes how the person acts, can leave right away a certain impression. But of course always get to know someone first before assuming stuff.
ReplyDeleteI think since society is so caught up with the perfect girl and the perfect boy people tend to do so. But I believe that as people in the same world and as equals we should not put ourselves down in that way. Instead of destroying our self esteems we should bring them up. Looks are not forever we will eventually get old and wrinkly but our pure heart and personality lasts forever. It is something that we should really think about it.

ReplyDeletePeople have that tendency to judge by the looks. I admit, I do that alot, but its not right. Just like Jessica said 'I try not to'.
ReplyDeleteI like how honest she is about saying she tries not to and I agree with her because I know a lot of people that do that first without getting to know them.

ReplyDeleteI like the question. It get's others to think about their own mistakes. It also is a nice conversation starter.
ReplyDeletePeople do judge a lot quickly. Yet you do have to try not to judge immediately because you don't ever know what you're in for. This is a good question in general because it really isn't that common.
ReplyDeleteI like this answer because now a days people judge very quickly just off it's appearance. Yet some people may be the nicest or the kindest but are never given that chance to make friends just because of they way they look or dress. It is nice that people do not judge right away.
ReplyDeleteI agree with this. I do believe that people do judge a book by it's cover just because its superficial appearance. People have to remember that what is inside isn't always what is portrayed on the outside-meaning that people should look beyond the superficial.

ReplyDeleteI agree, I have done it too knowing it is not right. You can get to know someone and love their personality. As sad as it is, our society tends to care more about appearance rather than what is inside. Never forget that your appearance is not everything.
ReplyDeleteIt's a natural thing that everyone judges. But they say that your first natural thought about someone shows how you were raised to be, then the second thought shows how you are as a person. And it's the truth!
ReplyDeleteI agree with this response because you never know what the person has. Judging someone will make you look bad because you dont know what goes on in their life. Very good response by the way.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea, but sometimes it is ok to judge by the cover because if you saw a lion or something, you're never going to go up to it and hug it. I'm not saying to judge people before you know them, but sometimes it's really clear as to what people are. That's something people need to remember as well.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Saul. Sometimes you do have to judge. I mean it is fine but its not the best. But how they say the first 10 seconds when you meet someone for the first time really meant alot.
